ABOUT MELISSA

Melissa Snow’s passion for the harp began at the tender young age of seven, when her parents bought her a harp to encourage her interest in music. She hasn’t looked back since. Over the past ten years, Melissa has had the privilege to study under several notable harpists, including Dr. Carrol McLaughlin from the University of Arizona and the Arizona Harp Experience, Susan Boylin of Phoenix, Arizona, and currently under Elizabeth Volpe Bligh, the Principal Harpist for the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra in British Columbia.

Melissa has enjoyed being a part of several performances with the Mt. Baker Symphony, in addition to giving solo performances for private functions, weddings, receptions and conventions. Most recently, Melissa donated her time performing in restaurants around the local areas of Bellingham and Lynden, Washington in support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation; a charity very close to her heart that supported her family during her sister’s battle with Hodgkin’s disease.

Melissa completed her senior year of high school the past June, and will now be attending college to major in Music with a minor in History. Melissa’s dream is to be able to teach music and history to children.
